Carving Pumpkins

This past Sunday we carved pumpkins, one for Lainey and one for Papa. I actually carved Lainey's and in that carving, I realized I have never actually carved a pumpkin. I enjoyed it, but was also glad that I had such an easy pattern!

Lainey's job was to put a dot in each hole of her pattern so we knew where to cut. She worked very hard!

In the end, this is what her dots looked like. Not the best work I've seen, but an A for effort.

Papa decided to carve a scary spider into his pumpkin whilst Lainey took a cookie break.

That cookie break lasted for at least 30 minutes during which time Lainey managed to eat 3 or 4 cookies and get the sprinkles off the left over ones.

In the end, Lainey's and Papa's pumpkins came out looking pretty wonderful!

Awesome pictures! I love the black with pumpkin lights glowing. And I too have never carved a pumpkin myself. How strange for us!

I wish I could be there to smash them.
