Our first stop was Shamu.
We had to wait for the show to start so we took that opportunity to lather up in sunscreen and eat Ritz crackers.
Next stop . . . feed the Sea Lions and Seals.
But first Daddy wants to have a bite! Yum!!
Lainey feeds the Seal Lions and Seals
All that feeding made us hungry! We ate at Mango Joe's and it cost about $30. We got a turkey sandwich that was NOT good and Lainey got a hot dog that she had one bite of and then dropped on the ground . . . not our best use of $30! But Lainey was excited to have a Shamu "lunch pack" and insisted on getting a picture!

She sure is cute, huh?!
We then went to the SHARKS!
We then went to the SHARKS!
Daddy and Lainey went to see a 4-D Elmo movie
. . . no problem, right? WRONG!!! Apparently Lainey is not into the 4-D of it all. She came out clinging to Daddy and requesting no more of those!
While Daddy and Lainey clung to each other, Adria slept and I got rained on!

Then we went to a couple of shows
. . . the sea otter show
. . . and the dolphin show
Sorry--no actual pics of sea otters or dolphins, but at least you can see what we looked like while we watched them!
Next stop: Kids water park place thingy!
Lainey was thrilled to see these nets to climb on, but not too thrilled when she actually climbed on them!
She mostly loved just running all around in her own little world . . . avoiding the water, of course!
And then the most WONDERFUL THING happened . . . FUNNEL CAKE DELICIOUSNESS
Oh man, this is a TREAT!!! And it's only like $6! Funnel cake, covered in sugar, covered in strawberries, with dollops of soft serve vanilla ice cream and whipped cream! HEAVENLY!!! (Take that Mango Joe's! I know where I will be eating next time we go!)

And we were privileged enough to have some live entertainment while we ate. (By we, I really mean just me . . . I devoured that thing . . . hence the "dancer trapped in a Shamu body" comment . . . but it had fruit on it so its good for you, right?!)
I think you all know where Lainey gets her SWEET moves from . . . its me in case you didn't figure that out!
After making a quick visit to the horses, it was time to go home!

But first, you gotta get a souvenir!
so Lainey put on her best "Pleasssssse Daddy?" act complete with batting eyelashes and sweetness.
(actually, Lainey already got a souvenir--those white sun glasses you see in some of the pics. They cost us $18 [mommy didn't notice the price until the debit card had already been swiped!] and were broken the following week . . . let's put that $18 in the same category as Mango Joe's $30 . . . not our best purchases!)
Lainey, with a little prodding from Daddy, was drawn to a gigantic Shamu stuffed animal.
Adria had a bit of a harder time deciding.
After loading up the car . . .
buckling in Shamu (safety first) . . .
and situating turtle . . .
we were ready to leave.
The girls INSTANTLY feel asleep when the car started moving!

Thanks Daddy for a wonderful day!

Love it! LOL I'm a little dissappointed that you didn't buy all 10 turtles since you seem to be made of money! ($30 sandwiches, $18 sunglasses)But the pictures are priceless!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice pictures.
We had the brownie funnel cake and it was amazing! Thanks for suggesting that!
