Adria had a great 1st BD!
To celebrate I put this celebration bow in her hair. Shandee later denied me, but it did remind me of Lainey's "Cindy Loo Who" days. It looks like Adria is a little "Who" too. So cute!

To celebrate Adgey's first year Lainey dolled herself all up with blue eyeshadow and red lipstick!

Daddy and AdgeyMatt came with us (which was very appropriate seeing as he is actually our child and all).
Matt bonds with his real dad and real sisters.A's BDP was attended by Mommy, Daddy, Lainey, Grandpa, Emi, Shandee, Matt and Megan. We had a BBQ followed by cookies and cake.

the Goulding's got her a kit with "noise toys"
and Mommy got busted for trying to take it away.
Mommy and Daddy got her an Alphabet toy
(mom's always getting the educational toys--forever the teacher!)
Educational or not--its spinning motion and catchy tune was a hit!
Shandee and Emi tried to give themselves as gifts, but there were no takers!

If so, how much would you pay?Now that the partying is over, Lainey is feeling a bit ripped off. As I made Adria breakfast this morning, Lainey said, "Can she feed herself now?" No. "Can she talk at least? Talk Adria, TALK!" Sorry Lainey, BD's don't give you special new skills!
But I have to say that her wave and "hi" has improved significantly today. Here she is on her favorite toy, the sit-n-spin, showing her 1-year-old most improved skill.

Love it! Especially the pictures of her with birthday cake! I do have a couple questions though - why is Butch talking to Megan about his "bum" in the video of Adria and her educational toy? And are you sure shandee didn't get the bag of "noise toys" in the "pets" section cuz I'm pretty sure I bought my dog those same toys last week.....
