On Saturday we were so bored that
Emi took pity on us and invited us to come to her house for swimming, hot dogs, "Mel's Crappy Soup," and artichokes (and it turns out I really do like artichokes, as long as there is mayonnaise flavored with Cajun spices to dip them in). We had a great time especially since
Emi came swimming with us!!! She said she doesn't think she's been swimming in 5 years. Lainey was thrilled and it was lots of fun. But it was cold!
Emi told us before we came that the water felt "pleasant" . . . it is when you put a finger in it. But when you have to submerge your whole body, it's freezing. Lainey didn't care though-she just hopped right in. Adria was a little apprehensive at first, but enjoyed it once she started floating around. Thanks for the fun time mom!
