The Nativity

Every year our family did a re-enactment of the Nativity on Christmas Eve. Every year there was a little too much giggling. Every year I was Mary. My cabbage patch kid was Jesus and a basketball was my pregnant belly. Leonce and Scotty were stuffed in cabinets to be the inn keepers and stood on chairs as angels. Alison was almost every other character, as well as the one to remind us of our lines and what to do next. But the best performer of them all was Shandee who was always the donkey and other livestock. I don't know why this always happened to her . . . maybe she just fit under the brown bathmats the best? Shandee, thoughts?

Anyway, this year the grandkids did the nativity. And though there were no bathmat clad kids, there was still way too much giggling! Enjoy.
